F.A.Q. - Why Do I Have To Register To View The Site And Read Poetry?
We require guests to register in order to view the site for one main purpose: to protect our member's works. The internet is full of plagiarism and plagiarists, requiring guests to create an account before they may view or read any of the work our members post is an extra step to keep their work safe and their own.
F.A.Q. - Can't you just install a code that does not allow the option to highlight text or right click?
- We can, but this coding does not work in all browsers and there are easy ways of getting around it as well,such as simply writing what you see down on paper or printing it out. It is NOT a sure way to protect your text or other information posted on the web, any website that tells you otherwise is obviously in the wrong and not out for the best interest of the author.
I'd like to join, but I'd like view the boards first. Are any of the boards viewable to guests/non-members?
We've kept our Spotlight and Spotlight Archives boards, located at the very top of the forum, open for guests/non-members to view. We hope this helps you with your decision in joining our community =)
Why Do I Have To Register To Post My Poetry?
We require registration for two reasons. The first reason is so that our forums are not overrun with unwanted spam posts. If we allowed guests to post, the boards would be cluttered with spam that has nothing to do with poetry; no one wants to see unwanted advertisements for Viagra.. The second reason is so that we can monitor accounts and restrict users from using our forum who break our Terms Of Service.
