Patience approaching boil The sauce she made sticking When it exploded in the kettle A rock sailed above, skipping
My aunt swearing to heaven, We dodged the dreaded rocket When prominent focus migrated She concealed the rock in a pocket

Ah. Vick, you have me rolling on the floor. I remember the old pressure cookers. They would pop at the slightest inclination. This is a fabulously creative Drops. Enjoyed every word! Lady B

This is so cute and witty, and had me rolling. When I was a little girl, my grandma used to have me so scared when she used a pressure cooker, that I seriously thought if I walked to hard or anything like that, it would explode in the kitchen...lol. I got to the point that I would avoid the kitchen entirely when grandma was cooking with it. I don't think I've read a drops poem that has been quite this humorous in I don't know how long. Nicely done. ***Applause***

Very nice, well described culinary explosion. Reminds me of someone I once knew, every visit to her kitchen was fraught with danger, hilarity and fascinating, unforgetable concoctions.
