Sometimes her stories of May sound more like a harvest song. Sometimes our shortest partings are more like far too long.
Sometimes her whispered passion feels more like soft farewell. Sometimes the way she asks me is more like a hard sell.
Sometimes her sweetest smile seems more like discontent. Sometimes, although her words are clear, I don't see what she meant.
Though her vanilla tastes of nutmeg, though her brown is nearer blue, though her night is close to daytime, Her contradictions are more true.

Much enjoyed read, andiknewit. You potrayed "her" with a wide array of characteristics, and it brought "her" to life. Nicely done!

Bavo Andy, this is very impressive for a drop poem. The imagery is great.
Though her vanilla tastes of nutmeg, though her brown is nearer blue, though her night is close to daytime, Her contradictions are more true.
Wonderful piece. Lady B
