I stayed true to the given words from Drops of Poetry. First time I've tried this... quite interesting project! ``````````````````````````````````````````
Write, Poet, Write!
A poet was consumed by a secret scar And by the sounds of a haunted fear So silent, so sad, so severe Even diamonds and roses were gray Alas, truth and mind grew apart
Passions of the heart laid quietly at the door The desire for freedom wasted away There was no charm, all was dull Alas, the poverty of a soul! And a poet writes no more
My heart was moved...
Poet, come and cry. So awful, that thief of dreams. Poet girl, so mad at the world Poet of the cold city streets Poet, please embrace the truth.
Poet, feel. Poet, dance. Poet, taste. Never let a given moment lie in waste Lay your fears in the ashes, not your soul Poet, breath. Poet, smile. Drink in the rhyme. Open the door to joy and the sun will shine
Spring blossomed in her heart so full Write, poet angel. Write, poet, write!

I really enjoyed reading this. I think it has captured the heart and the plight of a poet very well. Very well done! I also like the style in which you wrote it a lot as well.

Ah the compassion of a writer for a fellow who seems shy and tortured by writers block. Very well done.

Thanx for your kind comments. Compassion is a common thread in lots of my poems.
