We met, brief child, in the Summer, Farewell was for seasons to come, where melancholy Autumn lingers at the door, letting ice and snow blow in.
The gift of her beautiful voice I wish for, and borrow most days, protect my world from the gray silent a candle of love to my grave
Abandon the sanctuary of Summer, brown grass, withered leaves, pouring rain. Warm images melt, dripping puddles of snow. Night world, splashing music in gray.
We met, brief child, in the Summer, Farewell was for seasons to come, where melancholy Autumn lingers at the door, letting ice and snow blow in.
Letting ice and snow blow in.

anthema, A beautiful poem. Poignant writing combined with super images. It's hard to believe it's a Drop poem. Lady B

Thanks to jahaliel, Lady B and Silverluna for your comments.
I found the Drop thing to be a very interesting way of doing poetry. Forces me to consider constructions that may not naturally occur to me.
Cheers,
Anthema
