I think I did pretty well, considering I started out with nothing but a bunch of blank paper.

Charming
In a tree I sit (charming graceless strangers) While diamond-glass ladies arrive at sophisticated summer balls From my tree I'll watch their enchanted evenings (the unseen, skinny street child to be disregarded) Entranced with elegance that's just winter crystal (blindly dazzling; dazzling and blinding) Keep on walking, Ladies (and I'll just stay here) In my tree charming graceless strangers (and charming the graceful strangers in your gardens)

I loved all of this but particularly: From my tree I'll watch their enchanted evenings (the unseen, skinny street child to be disregarded)

inky, This is lovely! You brought the scene to life. I forgot it was a Drops poem. Bravo! Lady B
