Thanks for the compliment.. and a very nice ku! calling names from the safety of shelter, reminds me of calling out the neighborhood bully as long as within reach of your own front door..

I think so many of us are vulnerable and would love to hide behind something. I know I so related to this wonderful poem today. I owe you an exalt when my button comes back. Nicely done (I just exalted Joe's poem, lol...that's why I have to wait an hour for my button to come back my dear). ***Applause*** will have to do in the meantime...lol.

whoever said "words will never hurt me" was obviously not a writer.. I enjoyed your haiku because it stands true so well too the way we defend ourselves..
