A.N. i must confess that I cheated, play(ed) wasn't on the board... however one word in a long poem for DOP isn't too bad...
Come child listen to an old violin The music remembers a Summer night With freedom from discontent as a band played Stars lingered on into day
God was generous to us Perfect weather, beautiful scent Of lilys, breath of flowers Love broke as an ocean around us
Tender smiles, Wedding wishes Sweet passion Too brief
Listen to an old violin The music meloncholy tonight Discontented clouds, rain drips down Gray world is snowy comfort now

This is a very sweet, poignant poem; good job! I wish my summer nights were like this... I just sweat a lot!

Wow, this is gorgeous. Really creates a mood that I can picture, lonely music in the moonlight, and all the thoughts that carry it away. . .thank you

This is very nice.
I had a go at the Drops of Poetry and found it very difficult, so I can appreciate what a creative use of the material this is.
My favourite lines are:
"Beautiful scent of lilys, breath of flowers, Love broke as an ocean around us"
Very nicely done.
